A Gift from the Birthplace of the Bloody Mary Cocktail.  Paris, Circa 1923.

Bartender Harry MacElhone acquired Harry's New York Bar in Paris in 1923. A year later, together with the journalist O.O. McEntyre, he organized a group called the International Bar Flies, an organization for serious drinkers with its own secret handshake and a necktie featuring a fly on a lump of sugar.

Harry's became a magnet for Americans who traveled to Paris for drinks including a restorative "eye opener" called the Bloody Mary, served in this handsome glass. What is beyond question is that the feeling of the glass in your hand, its weight and shape, is part of the experience of enjoying the drink.

Offered in a Gift Box Set of 2 including the official "Rules of the I.B.F." (International Bar Flies).
