The Classic Milk Punch of New Orleans.

At Brennan’s in New Orleans, brunch isn’t complete without the legendary Brandy Milk Punch—a silky, spirit-forward cocktail that embodies the city’s easygoing elegance and joie de vivre. A chilled blend of brandy, milk, vanilla, sugar, and nutmeg, it’s both a pick-me-up and a comfort in a glass. Served with Old-World charm beneath the chandeliers and palms of Brennan’s famous dining room, this frothy elixir bridges breakfast and celebration, inviting guests to toast to the good life, New Orleans-style.

The Brandy Milk Punch finds its perfect vessel in the “French Quarter” Old-Fashioned Crystal Cocktail Glass—a glass as refined as the drink itself. Its weight, clarity, and brilliant cut lines echo the grandeur of the Quarter’s wrought-iron balconies and gaslit courtyards. Whether enjoyed on a sultry New Orleans morning or a festive holiday brunch anywhere in the world, this timeless pairing of cocktail and crystal captures the city’s spirit: equal parts sophistication, indulgence, and Southern grace.

If you had too much fun the night before, a Brandy Milk Punch is just the thing to put a little pep back in your step. Still, if you can’t clear your calendar for the afternoon, exercise caution. The recipe does pack a punch.

  • 2 ounces brandy
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
  • 3 ice cubes
  • cracked ice
  • freshly grated nutmeg

In a cocktail shaker, combine the brandy, milk, and sugar with 3 ice cubes and shake until frothy, about one minute. Strain into the “French Quarter” Old-Fashioned Crystal Cocktail Glass with cracked ice. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
