Bill Gates is arguably the individual who has had the biggest impact on the world of technology. During his career Gates has made Microsoft into one of the biggest companies in the world with products that have long been ubiquitous for computer users.

It was Henry Ford who first imagined a car in every garage, and it was Bill Gates who first imagined a computer in every home. Often called a modern day Henry Ford, Gates keeps a picture of Henry Ford on the desk in his office. It is there as a reminder of what not do - Ford didn't listen and respond to his customers. Ford said, "Any customer can have a car painted any color he wants so long as it is black." Henry Ford knew his customers wanted the option to buy cars painted other than black. But he didn't think he had to respond to customer wants because he had a lock on the marketplace. This "fatal attitude" caused him to lose market share to upstart General Motors. The photo is both a picture of an idol and a reminder that the best can be surpassed by competition.

Offered is the original sepia photograph of Henry Ford in a handsome 8 x 10-inch wooden frame, equally suitable for desktop or office wall display.
